People have been associating different genres of music to different moods in life. Music can stimulate our brains to enter various brainwave states – gamma, alpha, beta, theta, and delta.

To slow down our states of mind, our brains need to enter the Alpha level. The Alpha sound is a constant sound that the human ear cannot detect but the brain picks up. In this conscious state, the mind is more relaxed, yet highly alert: creative, intuitive, and receptive to surroundings (Silva Life System 2011).

Sonic Wonderland explores the implicit relationship between what we eat and what we hear, channelling the power of audio to alter and amplify taste (Bompas, S. and Parr, H. 2015). While dining, guests experienced how low frequency can change perceptions of salt and unami, and how high frequency sound can turn bitter flavours sweet (BT 2015).

Licensed buskers would be performing live music, which loosen up the rush hour tension. Many people would slow down and appreciate the performance and donate a token or two.
